Asco Foundation donates 40 laptops to students and teachers of schools in the Central Division
May 19, 2022
Asco Foundation, a charitable arm of Asco Motors Fiji has donated 40 laptops to students and teachers of schools in the Central Division.
Asco Foundation Trustees say they are honored to support this initiative by donating laptops to the Ministry of Education, Heritage & Arts for distribution. We believe these laptops will help advance our teachers’ ability to provide broader learning experiences for the students in our communities.
The laptops were donated at a time when they were most needed by the Ministry, who have indicated that the laptops will be distributed to those children who currently do not have access to laptops or any other means of technology that can be used for e-learning.
We believe that making quality education accessible to everyone is vital. This donation is beneficial as it not only promotes educational equality but it also helps in improving the acquisition of knowledge.
The 1st place for a child’s learning should be in schools with teachers at their side but given that our world has changed, we also need to change. It would be rewarding to see school administrators making use of these computers by integrating and/or improving their computer literacy programs, so that this becomes an investment in the future success of all students.
Asco Motors CEO Ronald Kumar states, I want to encourage students who receive these computers to use these laptops responsibly and make full use of the opportunities these laptops will give them to learn more about new technology. We hope that these laptops will help in elevating your learning experience and take it to another level where you can truly harness both your mental and technological capabilities.
We are indeed privileged for this opportunity to make a difference in your life, and we hope you will make the best out of this initiative.
The Asco Foundation is a charitable organization through which Asco Motors Fiji supports worthy causes and has supported a variety of initiatives to enhance education, safety, assist at-risk youth and support the underprivileged and contribute towards the greener initiative.
